The anticipated wait for the blockbuster HANCOCK is out. It was great, as far as this individual is concerned. My only complaint is that I wanted more.
Will Smith as usual pulls it off. Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman also gave good performances.
Anyway the only thing better than HANCOCK was the trailer for The Day the Earth Stood Still. My all-time favorite Sci Fi Movie, I saw when I was a kid.
Quite a few years back when my kids were smaller, I indoctrinated my son, but he was too small to remember… and of course it was in black & white which I love but to him it looked old.
Now he will be 20 this year and this evening we saw the trailer… We both looked over to each other and gave the thumbs up. He then began to ask about the original. Well… This Pop was as proud the day I was, when he was born. As if I handed down some mystical wisdom that he will carry and pass down to his son…and so on.
I know this has obviously been in the works some time now… and I am just getting wind of it and feel a little stupid like a young crazed kid, But I love being a kid.
